Role: Tom is responsible for leading and growing the business, delighting our clients and our team and delivering Carterwood’s mission to revolutionise and challenge the norm in everything we do.

A major focus as managing director is offering amazing value and the best possible service to our clients, who range from institutional and specialist real estate investors, to large care home and retirement village operators, developers, landowners and other professionals.

Tom is a regular speaker at events, conferences and webinars, delivering engaging sessions using our high-quality data to bring the latest trends, insights and predictions to audiences across the social care sector.

Background: Tom has worked with Carterwood’s co-founders for several years and took over as managing director in January 2022. Tom has worked in the social care sector for over 10 years, focused on the elderly care home and retirement living space. During that time, his work has spanned our Advisory and Analytics businesses, offering bespoke reporting, advice and due diligence to clients who are buying and building social care real estate, and growing our Analytics business, which launched in April 2019, providing instant market analysis to hundreds of clients.

Passion: Tom loves nothing more than a good game of cricket and taking to the waves on his surfboard. When on dry land, Tom also enjoys travelling and seeking out the best place for good food!
