A leading provider of care and support services to vulnerable adults throughout the UK, National Care Group (NCG) has acquired two specialist residential care and supported living providers in the South West: Cornerstones (UK) Ltd in Wiltshire and Churchview Care in Somerset, for an undisclosed sum.
Cornerstones is registered for 33 service users across five residential care homes, and provides care to eight supported living services, supporting individuals with moderate to severe learning disabilities as well as those with mental health and complex emotional and behavioural needs.
Previously owned by Sandringham Care, Taunton-based Churchview Care Home is registered for six service users with learning disabilities, while Churchview Care Services provides supported living to adults with learning disabilities.
We acted on behalf of Accrington-headquartered NCG to seek suitable care businesses within the South West to further expand the group in the region. NCG has undergone considerable expansion over the last two years, with these acquisitions being its 19th and 20th respectively.
David Stanhope, managing director at NCG, said: “We have a long-term relationship with Carterwood and are delighted they have been able to identify these opportunities, which are a perfect fit to support our growth strategy. We are so pleased to welcome Cornerstones and Churchview Care to our group and look forward to further developing these well-regarded local services.”
Jessamy Venables, associate at Carterwood, added: “The depth of our understanding of NCG’s acquisition requirements means we’ve been able to identify two fantastic opportunities, which have completed within a matter of days of each other. It is a pleasure working alongside NCG, and the vendors have gone the extra mile to ensure the sales process was as smooth as possible.”
