Our specialist chartered surveying team has successfully completed on the sale of a 70-bed care home site with full planning permission in Hereford, on behalf of our long-term client, Prime Developments.
The spacious 2.68-acre site has been purchased by care developer, Albion Care Communities, and will be operated by Dormy Care Communities.
Bob Smaylen, development director at Prime Developments, comments: “Following several years of robust and reliable due diligence services from Carterwood, this was their first agency instruction. As we expected, Carterwood’s marketing process was efficient and highly targeted.”
Albion Care Communities development director, Jim Fogden, says: “We are actively looking to acquire freehold sites for development and this scheme in Hereford, just 1 mile from the city centre, presented us with an ideal opportunity to add to our growing portfolio. We look forward to getting construction underway.”
Matthew Drysdale, associate director at Carterwood, adds: “There’s an outstanding opportunity to develop a market leading care home on this site. Hereford benefits from an affluent population, shortfall of market standard bedspaces, and evidence of high average fees within both the nursing and residential care sectors. We wish Albion and Dormy every success with this new venture.”
