Carterwood’s specialist agency team, on behalf of MHA, one of the most well-respected care providers in the sector, has completed on the sale of a proposed retirement living development in Woking, Surrey, to Birchgrove.
The development benefits from full planning permission for 51 one- and two-bed apartments. The sales process lasted a mere three months from initial marketing through to completion.
Andrew White, head of development at MHA, comments: “This is our first agency instruction to Carterwood and I’m really pleased with their performance in achieving such a quick sale. While this site no longer fitted with our strategic requirements, it has fantastic potential and we are happy to see it will be developed. We wish Birchgrove well in their new venture.”
Honor Barratt, managing director of Birchgrove, adds: “Our first retirement living development is currently on-site and due to complete in March 2019. We are actively looking for land for new developments and this site in Woking was a perfect fit for us. We look forward to delivering this fantastic scheme.”
Carterwood associate director, Matthew Drysdale, says: “Carterwood has provided consultancy services to MHA since 2013, so we’re delighted to expand our relationship to include agency too. This retirement development in Woking is in an excellent location, offering a stunning setting and strong wealth profile. We wish Birchgrove every success with their innovative rental product.”
