Hamberley has completed a deal to sell a proposed 64-bed luxury care home site to Barchester. The sale was conducted by Carterwood and is the first agency deal the firm has executed for the award-winning developer.

He said: “Upon receiving instructions Carterwood ran a discreet, efficient and targeted marketing process which quickly identified the purchaser.
“We were highly satisfied with Carterwood’s performance throughout this transaction and I would like to thank Matthew and the team.”
The site occupies a prominent position on Glastonbury Road in the affluent city of Wells and is surrounded by a new residential development.
Matthew Drysdale, Principal Surveyor at Carterwood, concluded:
“After a long-standing relationship with the team at Hamberley, through our Consultancy services, we are delighted to have completed our first agency sale on their behalf.
“Hamberley has designed and delivered planning permission for an outstanding home which will benefit from premium rooms and has been designed to create an exceptional care environment in the heart of the Wells community.”
